NEAT to Know : Kids Crafts
We get it, organizing can be overwhelming. If tackling your entire home at once sounds like too much we suggest taking small steps that will make a big difference over time. Here’s what you “NEAT to Know”...
Organize kids crafts in 5 steps!
Messy kids crafts can often make for messy storage, but it doesn't have to be that way! Whip them into shape and make craft time less stressful.
Step One ::
Gather crafts together.
Get all those crafts in one place from around the house. If they're already together, pull them out of the space.
Step Two ::
Categorize.
Sort everything into easy categories that will make sense for your kids.
Step Three ::
Toss broken or dried out items.
Say goodbye to items that are no longer usable. Test markers, pens and stamps and make sure glue and paint hasn't dried up. Go through paper and toss small scraps.
Step Four ::
Implement product as needed.
Store categories in clear, easy-wipe bins, adding magazine holders for coloring and activity books. Consider a caddy or cart for most often used items. Don't forget labels, so every member of your family can find things quickly and put them away.
Step Five ::
Place bins accordingly.
Stack bins in a closet or on a bookshelf, making sure to place messy play categories up out of reach. Lower categories should be items that are safe for your kids to access on their own.
