New NEAT City | Richmond
We want to welcome Liz Kilberg of Richmond, Virginia to the NEAT team. We are thrilled to have her. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.
NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?
LK :: I have loved growing up in Richmond and being a part of the community. I want to share my passion for home organization and impact clients lives in a positive way. Home organization can be extremely therapeutic!
NM :: What did you do before NEAT?
LK :: I started off in finance for the first 3 years after college and then I have spent the last 10 years as a high school math teacher.
NM :: What makes your city unique?
LK :: I like to consider Richmond a “big little city.” It’s home to two major universities, has a thriving restaurant industry, big art scene, tons of outdoor activities/parks, and a rich history. They call the area “central Virginia” for a reason…you can travel 90 miles north to visit our nation’s capital, 90 miles east and you hit the Atlantic Ocean, and 90 miles west for scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.
NM :: How long have you lived in your city?
LK :: I was born and raised in Richmond! After living in DC and Atlanta for the first three years after graduating from Virginia Tech, I knew I wanted to return to my hometown.
NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?
LK :: My family and I love to eat out! Richmond is full of amazing restaurants, but we have some favorites. Our go to breakfast/lunch spot is Westwood Pharmacy as we are here multiple times a week! Date nights are spent at Azzurro, Stellas, Portico, Buckheads, Beijing on Grove, and Mosaic. Other favorite places include Superstars, Shore Dog, and ZZQ.
NM :: Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is.
LK :: My basement/playroom has a place for everything and can be organized easily, but it doesn’t always look perfect when my kiddos don’t clean up when they are supposed to.
NM :: What about your least organized space? What the heck happened?
LK :: Older son’s closet! I need a system to store the clothes he has grown out of and I am saving for his little brother. It’s a mess and needs some love!
NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
LK :: Getting to meet so many new faces in the community and partnering up with other local businesses and of course spending time to help others organize their spaces!
NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?
LK :: A professional, friendly, excited, and (most importantly) organized person eager to make your spaces more efficient, structured, and aesthetically pleasing.
NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?
LK :: I wouldn’t call it a hidden talent, but I always know what the upcoming weather is!
That's amazing - and definitely considered a talent in our book! Congratulations on launching Richmond. We’re so excited to have you join NEAT!
xx
